How to Cancel Discord Nitro?

Did you get a Discord Nitro subscription recently?

If you didn’t know, the Discord Nitro subscription renews automatically when it expires.

So, you’ll need to cancel it beforehand if you don’t want to use it anymore.

Otherwise, Discord will charge your credit card automatically, and it’ll be too late.

How to cancel Discord Nitro?

To cancel Discord Nitro, do this:

  1. Go to “User Settings” in Discord
  2. Go to “Subscriptions” and click on “Cancel” on Nitro
  3. Click on “Yup, Cancel Nitro

Additionally, you should remove your credit card from Discord so you won’t be charged by mistake.

To remove your credit card from Discord:

  1. Go to “User Settings
  2. Select “Billing” and click on “Edit
  3. Select “Delete Payment Method

How Can You Cancel Discord Nitro?

First, you’ll need to cancel the Nitro subscription from the user settings.

Then, you should also remove your credit card from Discord.

This is to prevent any accidental charges to your credit card.

Follow the steps below to cancel Discord Nitro:

1. Go to “User Settings.”

First, you’ll need to access your User Settings. It’s the gear icon at the bottom of the Discord app, next to your username.

Click on the gear icon, and you’ll be taken to the Discord settings, where you can cancel Discord Nitro.

2. Go to “Subscriptions” and cancel Nitro

In the User Settings, scroll through the list of options until you get to the “Subscriptions” option.

Click on it, and you’ll see your Nitro subscription on the main section of the page.

Look for the “Cancel” button and click on it.

You’ll be asked to confirm the cancellation, and you’ll need to select “Yup, Cancel Nitro.”

Go through the process until Discord tells you the subscription has been canceled.

Then, there’s one more thing you need to do – remove your credit card from Discord.

3. Go to “Billing” in your User Settings

To remove your credit card from Discord, go to Billing in your User Settings.

Once you’re there, look at the top of the page for your credit card.

Next to it, you’ll see the “Edit” button. Click on it.

4. Click on ”Delete Payment Method

After you select “Edit” on your credit card, you’ll open a new page with all the information about your credit card.

Scroll down until you see the “Delete Payment Method” method.

It’s next to the “Cancel” and “Save” buttons.

Click on it to remove the credit card from your Discord account.

That’s it!


Discord Nitro isn’t free most of the time. While there are occasional offers, those are temporary.

If you get Nitro for free during one of these offers, you’ll need to cancel it manually before it expires.

Otherwise, the subscription will be renewed automatically when the free period ends.

To cancel Discord Nitro, go to User Settings – Subscriptions – Nitro – Cancel.

Follow through with the process to cancel the subscription. Then, remove your credit card from Discord by going to User Settings – Billing – Edit Credit Card – Remove Payment Method.
