Once you click “Billing“, you’ll be taken to another page in your Zoom account. Make sure the “Current Plans” option is selected, and look for your active plan.

I don’t have a premium subscription on Zoom, so there’s nothing for me to cancel. But your Zoom subscription will be the same as my Free plan.

You should see a “Cancel subscription” button somewhere there. Click on it, and when you’re asked to confirm, click on “Cancel subscription” again.

That will stop your subscription from renewing itself when it expires. Remember, this won’t stop your current subscription from working.

You’ll still have all the benefits of the premium Zoom subscription until the expiration date.

To summarize, here’s how to cancel a Zoom subscription:

  • Go to the Zoom website
  • Log in to your account
  • Go to “Account Management
  • Click on “Billing
  • Find the current plan you have and select “Cancel Subscription
  • Confirm by selecting “Cancel Subscription” again

The process is quick and easy, but you can’t do it from the Zoom desktop app. You need to use the Zoom website to cancel the subscription.

Does Zoom have a refund policy?

Zoom doesn’t offer refunds for their subscriptions. You can cancel a subscription anytime, but you won’t receive a refund.

However, you will receive refunds for Zoom ticket events you buy. But you must cancel your ticket “one hour before the event starts”.

If you do that, Zoom will refund your ticket with a 100% guarantee.

However, your refund isn’t guaranteed if you cancel your ticket outside the cancellation period (e.g., 10 minutes before the event starts) or after the event.

It’s up to the host whether they accept a refund or not. You may still get a refund outside the cancellation period and before the event starts.

However, if the event has already started and you ask for a refund, it’s unlikely you’ll receive it.

That’s because a Zoom event is a “consumable” good that you can’t return once you receive it (e.g., watch the event).

When you leave a Zoom meeting, does it tell everyone?

Yes and no. There are no audible or textual cues if you leave a Zoom meeting.

However, your video screen will disappear from the Grid view, and everyone is always watching the Grid.

So it’s very unlikely that they won’t notice unless there are many people in the Zoom meeting.

Another visual cue you left is that your name no longer appears on the participants’ list.

The host, or anyone else, can look in the participants’ list and realize that someone is missing.

If the Zoom meeting were small, they’d know exactly who left.

My name is Alex and I have a knack for social media in all its shapes and forms. I’ve dealt with such things for quite some time and I noticed that many people have issues with social media and technicalities.

Unforeseen errors, bugs, and other problems make their use of social media problematic. These things will be discussed amply in the guides on Whizcase.

I'll present the facts as they are, and offer quick and easy solutions for them.
