How Can You Change Your Bio on TikTok?

Editing the Bio is, fortunately, one of the easiest things you’ll be doing on TikTok. See how it’s done:

1. Select your profile on TikTok

As always, we’ll begin by opening TikTok and then opening the profile page (tap the profile picture in the bottom-right corner).

Then:

2. Tap on “Edit Profile

Tap on "Edit Profile"
Tap on “Edit Profile”

Once we get to the profile page, there’ll be an “Edit profile” button just below the Followers heading (see the picture above).

Tap on that and move on:

3. Tap on the “Bio” field

On the “Edit profile” page, which you can see above, you can customize your TikTok profile however you feel (edit password, username, add social handles, etc.)

Look for the “Bio” field and open it by tapping on it.

4. Change your bio and tap on “Save” to finish

This is where you’ll be editing the Bio, adding or removing information. Once you’re done, tap the red “Save” button located in the top-right corner.

This will take you back to your profile settings. By returning to your profile, you can check whether your TikTok bio was changed or not.

Done! Easy, right?

How many times can you change your Bio on TikTok?

There’s no limit to the number of times you can change your Bio on TikTok. There’s also no “cool down” period before changing it again.

Technically, you can change it multiple times in a row if you forgot to add something or you changed your mind.

TikTok won’t stop you from editing your Bio, even if you do it 3-4 times in a matter of seconds.

If you want, you can also add a link to your Bio. This will help you promote your other social media channels faster.

Most people change their bios when it doesn’t represent them anymore. Usually, it happens after a major event in their lives.

Will others notice you’ve changed your Bio on TikTok?

Yes, they will. Others will notice you’ve changed your Bio immediately after you save the changes in your profile settings.

Don’t save the changes if you don’t want others to see your changed bio. Otherwise, you can’t hide the bio from others.

Your only solution is to empty the Bio and leave it like that. This way, others will see blank space instead of your bio.

But it’s true; everyone will see that you’ve changed your bio once you save the changes.

However, they won’t receive a notification about the change. TikTok doesn’t notify your friends if you change your bio.

My name is Alex and I have a knack for social media in all its shapes and forms. I’ve dealt with such things for quite some time and I noticed that many people have issues with social media and technicalities.

Unforeseen errors, bugs, and other problems make their use of social media problematic. These things will be discussed amply in the guides on Whizcase.

I'll present the facts as they are, and offer quick and easy solutions for them.
