Why Is The “Add Yours” Sticker Missing?

The sticker was initially released in Singapore, Indonesia, and Japan.

Only users from those countries can use it. Users from other countries can only interact with it when posted by other users.

Still, some users aren’t even able to interact with it. When they tap on it, Instagram skips the story entirely.

Others say the sticker isn’t working as it should, even though they have access.

Do these to fix the “Add Yours” sticker on Instagram:

  1. Update Instagram
  2. Use another Instagram account
  3. Use a VPN
  4. Switch to a personal account if you’re on a business one

The sticker missing or not working could be because Instagram is not updated to the most recent version.

You’re on a business account, and the sticker doesn’t work on those. Switch to a personal account instead!

1. Update the Instagram app

If you don’t have automatic updates activated, Instagram won’t update itself.

In this case, you have to update the Instagram app manually. Google Play or App Store, find Instagram, and update it.

On the app’s page, you’ll see the Update button to the right.

If it says “Open, “ there are no recent installation updates.

Your app is up-to-date already.

In this case, move to the next step.

2. Use another Instagram account

Maybe there’s a bug with one of your accounts. In this case, you could try switching to another account.

Many users report that switching to another account solved the “Add Yours” sticker not working problem.

To switch to another account, go to your user profile. When you’re there, look in the top left for your username.

Tap on it, and you’ll see a list of your accounts.

Switch to another account at the bottom and see whether the “Add Yours” sticker works.

If it still doesn’t work, move on!

3. Use a VPN

If you’re not from Indonesia, Japan, or Singapore, you won’t have access to the “Add Yours” sticker.

But if you want to use it regardless, there’s a way to do that – with a VPN.

Using a VPN switches your IP address to match another location, like Japan or Indonesia.

You can make Instagram think you’re from one of these countries by using the “Add Yours” sticker.

A great free VPN is ProtonVPN.

After installing it, look for a server in Japan, Indonesia, or Singapore, and connect to it.

This will change your IP address immediately. Try connecting to Instagram again and using the “Add Yours” sticker.

This method works on a computer as well as a mobile phone.

4. Switch to your personal Instagram account from your business account

Another reason why the “Add Yours” sticker might be missing or not working properly because you’re connected to your business account.

We don’t know how the sticker works or if it’s supposed to work with business accounts.

But several users have reported that switching their accounts from their business ones solved the problem.

To do this, go to Menu – Settings – Account – Switch to Personal Account.

The “Add Yours” sticker is a recent addition to Instagram. They’ve only added it to three countries – Japan, Indonesia, and Singapore.

If you live in another country, the sticker shouldn’t work or even appear in your app.

Use a VPN to access it instead!

If you live in any of the above three countries and the sticker is still not working, try updating Instagram, switching to a personal account from a business one, or using another Instagram account.

How do you use the “Add Yours” sticker?

It’s easy to use this sticker. You’ll find it with the other stickers.

On Instagram, tap “Your Story” in the upper-left corner of the screen.

Then, either take a photo or upload one from your Gallery.

Look in the upper-right corner for a square smiley face sticker icon. Tap on it.

This will open the Sticker menu, where you’ll find the “Add Yours” sticker.

Please select it and then write a prompt for the sticker.

When you’re finished, tap on Done, and that’s it!

When you post your story, people will be able to contribute to it thanks to the “Add Yours” sticker.

Depending on the prompt you added, users can add specific content tied to your prompt.

This feature improves the Story feature’s social engagement, allowing people to contribute to their content.
