So, you want to remove some of your followers? That’s easy, though it’s not what you think. You can’t remove followers from your Spotify profile.
This means that, even after you’re done with this guide, they’ll still appear as your followers on your profile.
What you can do is block them. By blocking your Spotify followers, you’ll stop them from seeing your profile, public playlists, recent tracks, etc.
Your Spotify account is invisible to a blocked follower. Here’s how to block a follower on Spotify:
- Go to your Spotify profile
- Find the “Followers” marker and click on it
- Right-click on your follower
- Select “Block“
- Confirm your action by selecting “Block” again
The process is nearly identical on computers and mobile devices. Keep reading for a detailed guide on how to remove followers on Spotify!

After you tap on your followers’ profiles, Spotify will take them to their profile page. This is where you can block them.
Look for the three-dot icon in the top-right corner of the screen and select it.
6. Select the “Block user” option
Once you’re in that person’s profile settings, you should see the “Block User” option.
There’s a glitch on my Spotify phone app, and that option doesn’t appear anywhere. But it should be there for you, so tap on it.
If asked to confirm, select “Block user” again. And you’re done with removing this follower on Spotify.
To summarize, you can remove or block a Spotify follower by going to your profile, selecting the Follower count, selecting your follower, and blocking them.
Every follower should have a settings page once they get to their profile page, whether on a computer or mobile.
Usually, that setting page is hidden behind the three-dot icon for mobile phones. As for computer Spotify, you must right-click on your follower’s name in the “Followers” tab on your profile and then select “Block.”
Confirm your action, and that’s it!
