Are you becoming more popular on Instagram, and now you want to bask in your glory and see who followed you recently? Goodness, gracious!
Unfortunately, it’s almost impossible to see your recent followers. Emphasis on “Recent“.
Unlike the “Following” tab, which lets you sort the accounts by “Latest”, the “Followers” tab doesn’t have this function. It’s just not there, I checked.
So, you can find out who you followed most recently, but you can’t see who followed you most recently. The only way you can do this is to keep a detailed record of all your followers.
Keep reading to learn more about this seemingly-tedious method!

See the Most Recent Entries in the “Followers” Tab
This is the only way to see who recently followed you on Instagram. Any new follower will stand out if you know exactly who your followers are.
If you have a gazillion followers already, then this method is literally impossible to follow because there’s no way you can know who recently followed you.
But if you have a smaller follower base, it may work.
Follow the steps below to see how it can be done:
1. Tap on your profile picture

To start with, open Instagram from the app list on your phone.
Then, tap on your profile picture that’s in the bottom-left corner of the app. The icon shows a grey silhouette that looks nothing like you. Tap it now!
2. Select the “Followers” tag

Once you’re on your profile page, you’ll see your profile picture, followed by the “Posts“, “Followers“, and the “Following” tabs.
Tap the “Followers” button next to your profile picture, instead. This will take you to a page that, shocker, shows you your followers.
3. See your most recent followers

Now that you’re on the “Followers” page, take a long and hard look at the people on the list and try to figure out who’s new. Look at the first person on the list and remember if they were there before.
Do that for every single follower on the list, and you’re one step closer to finding out who followed you recently. If it sounds difficult, that’s because it is, but, unfortunately, it’s the only way you’ll know if a follower is new or not.
The “Followers” doesn’t list your followers from most recent to oldest, so there’s no practical way of knowing who followed you recently.
For all you know, the top person in your “Followers” list might have started following you a year ago, and the 30th entry could be someone who just followed you 3 days ago.
Conclusion
Long story short, the “easiest” way to know who followed you recently on Instagram is the hardest method you can think of – manual labor.
You have to go through everyone in your “Followers” list and try to figure out if they’re new or old, which seems like an impossible task. But, sadly, that’s your only option.
