How to See Who Recently Followed You on Instagram?

Are you becoming more popular on Instagram, and do you want to see who followed you recently on the platform?

There isn’t an easy way to do that. Unlike the “Following” tab, which lets you sort the accounts by “Latest”, the “Followers” tab doesn’t have this function.

So, you can find out who you followed most recently, but you can’t see who followed you most recently.

Keep reading to find out if there’s any way you can find out who followed you recently on Instagram!

See the Most Recent Entries in the “Followers” Tab

This is the only way to see who recently followed you on Instagram. Any new follower will stand out if you know exactly who your followers are.

To check your “Followers” list, follow the steps below:

1. Tap on your profile picture

The first step is opening Instagram and going to your profile page. To do that, look for your profile picture in the bottom right corner of the Instagram homepage.

The icon will show a person’s silhouette if you don’t have a profile picture yet.

2. Select the “Followers” tag

After you tap on your profile picture and get to your profile page, you should see the “Followers” tag near your profile picture.

It’s at the top of the page, so you should see it immediately.

The “Followers” tag refers to people who follow you, and the “Following” tag refers to people you follow. Tap on “Followers” to continue!

3. See your most recent followers

Now that you’re on the “Followers” page, look at your follower list. Who is the first person on the list? Do you recognize them? Were they there before?

If you don’t recognize them, then they’re a new follower. The “Followers” page automatically sorts people by the latest entries.

This means new followers will always be at the top of the page.

Conclusion

In short, there isn’t an easy way to know who followed you recently on Instagram. But if you’re not a popular person and know all your followers, it’ll be easy to single out a follower you don’t know.

Go to your profile on Instagram and select the “Followers” tab at the top of the page.

Once you’re there, you’ll see a list of all your followers. At the top of that list, you’ll find your most recent followers.

If you don’t recognize them, chances are they followed you recently and are new. But if you can’t distinguish between old and new followers, there’s no other way to find out who followed you recently.

My name is Alex and I have a knack for social media in all its shapes and forms. I’ve dealt with such things for quite some time and I noticed that many people have issues with social media and technicalities.

Unforeseen errors, bugs, and other problems make their use of social media problematic. These things will be discussed amply in the guides on Whizcase.

I'll present the facts as they are, and offer quick and easy solutions for them.
