How Can You See Your YouTube Comment History?

You’ll need a desktop browser to find your YouTube comment history.

Open YouTube, and go to Menu – History– Comments.

There, you’ll see all your comments from newest to oldest. Scroll down to the bottom to see your first comment on the platform.

Naturally, it’ll take a long time to find your oldest comment if you’re commenting a lot.

Follow the steps below to find your comment history:

  • Open YouTube and open your Menu

Under the “Manage All History tab, you’ll see other options, including “Watch and search history, “Comments”, and “Live chat”.

Click on “Comments” to see your comment history on your YouTube Channel.

This will take you to a page called “Your YouTube Comments”.

Scroll down through it and find the comment you’re looking for!

Wanting to find a YouTube comment you left a while ago is not surprising.

Many people search for a specific video where they left a comment.

That’s not necessary if you use the Comment History feature on the YouTube app.

Go to YouTube on a desktop browser – Menu – History – Comments to access it.

That’s it – you’re not in your Comment History, and you can look up any comment you left from the moment you created your YouTube channel.

It’s unknown whether YouTube will create a Comment History for the YouTube app but for now, they still haven’t implemented it.

You can only watch the history on a browser.

How do I know if someone replied to my comment on YouTube?

It’s pretty simple.

When you open YouTube, you should see a notification bell in the top right, next to your profile picture.

Click on it, and you’ll see all recent notifications on your YouTube account.

This includes replies and mentions for comments.

You can scroll down and see older notifications if you’ve missed any.

Moreover, you can customize your notification settings, so you don’t receive notifications for certain things.

You can turn off this option if you don’t like receiving notifications about recommended videos.

Is it safe to comment on YouTube?

Yes, it is. Even if someone sees that you left a comment on a video, there’s nothing they can do.

If your comment violates the community guidelines, that’s a problem.

Someone might report your comment, and YouTube will take action.

But if your comment is alright, then posting it on YouTube has no consequences.

It’s safe to comment on the platform. You’re safe unless you include private data about you in your comments.

My name is Alex and I have a knack for social media in all its shapes and forms. I’ve dealt with such things for quite some time and I noticed that many people have issues with social media and technicalities.

Unforeseen errors, bugs, and other problems make their use of social media problematic. These things will be discussed amply in the guides on Whizcase.

I'll present the facts as they are, and offer quick and easy solutions for them.
