Once you’re inside the Play Store, you’ll see all sorts of apps on the main screen. Ignore them. Instead, use the search bar at the top to look for Telegram.

Type in “Telegram” and select the first option.

3. See if there are any updates available

Once you tap on Telegram, you’ll go to its main product page (see above). That’s where you can download the app from. It’s also where you can update it if there are any updates available.

To the right of the Telegram symbol, you should see an “Open” or “Update” button, depending on the situation.

You’ll see the “Open” button if there’s no update available, and if there is an update available, you guessed it, the “Update” button will be there instead.

Tap on it and wait for Telegram to finish updating itself, and you’re done 😀

Update Telegram on Computers

If you’re using Telegram on a computer, you’ll need to update it from within the app. It’s just as easy but if you’re unsure, follow the steps below:

1. Click on the three-dash icon in the top-left corner

With Telegram opened, find the three-line icon in the top-left corner (near the search bar) and select it. That’ll let you open a side menu with several options.

See below:

2. Click on “Settings

After you tap on the three-dash icon in the top-left corner, a side menu will open up with several settings like “New Group“, “New Channel“, “Contacts“, “Calls“, and more.

Select the “Settings” option, the second-to-last option on the list, and keep reading!

3. Go to “Advanced

Once you’re in your settings, look for the “Advanced” option (see it in the picture above) and click it.

4. Select the “Check for updates” option

Once you’re in the Advanced Telegram settings, scroll down to the bottom. There, you’ll find the “Check for updates” option. Click on it, and Telegram will search for and install the latest update.

To avoid having to update manually in the future, make sure you also check the “Update automatically” option. Telegram will automatically install the latest updates as they are released.

And that’s it 😀

It’s a very easy process that shouldn’t take more than a few seconds. If you have any questions, feel free to comment down below!

I’ll answer as soon as possible.

What is the new update of Telegram?

Telegram doesn’t introduce brand-new features on its updates very often, but when it does, the features are great, to say the least.

Some of the newest features on Telegram are:

– Custom notification sounds
– Custom mute durations
– New auto-delete menu in profiles
– Web integration for BOTs
– Replies in forwarded messages
– Improved message translation for iOS
– Improved Picture-in-Picture for Android
– And more…

These are quite interesting features if you think about it. Most are quality-of-life features that many users have been demanding for some time.

Telegram regularly updates its app, but such features are rare these days. We hope we’ll have even more quality-of-life features in the future!

Is Telegram better than WhatsApp?

WhatsApp may have more quality-of-life features than Telegram but other than that, both services are pretty secure.

WhatsApp may have more emoticons and emojis, but Telegram is also quite fast and safeguards your privacy efficiently.

Generally, WhatsApp is more popular than Telegram because it has a more intuitive and user-friendly interface.

Other than that, you can do the same things on both apps:

– Talk to other people in encrypted, private conversations
– Create groups of people
– Send pictures
– Send GIFs
– Send videos

One thing Telegram has that WhatsApp doesn’t is the news-type groups. These are groups where you can’t talk, but you receive news of a certain type.

For instance, cryptocurrency-related news. Or country-related news from Bloomberg. Telegram is better than WhatsApp in that regard.

Unforeseen errors, bugs, and other problems make their use of social media problematic. These things will be discussed amply in the guides on Whizcase.

I'll present the facts as they are, and offer quick and easy solutions for them.
