How to Watch Live Videos on TikTok

How Can You Watch Live Videos on TikTok?

To watch live TikTok videos, you only need to use the search function in the app.

Search for TikTok live videos, and you’ll find what you want!

Alternatively, you can go to the “Following” section to start following popular creators and see their live videos.

If no one you follow has any live videos at the moment, you’ll be prompted to follow other popular creators.

The more people you follow, the more chances you have of seeing live videos.

Below are the two ways to watch live videos on TikTok:

1. Use the search bar in the TikTok app

Open the TikTok app and go to the Home section.

Look to the top-right, and you’ll see a magnifier glass icon.

That’s the search function. Tap on it.

Use the search bar in the TikTok app

Once you tap on it, you’ll need to search for certain keywords or things you want to see.

2. Search for certain keywords

Search for keyword on TikTok

You can search “live videos” or “live now” or other keywords interested.

But most importantly, select the “LIVE” option from the bar at the top.

That will only show you live videos based on your search.

3. Go to the “Following” section

Look up when you’re in the Home section of the TikTok app.

You’ll see two categories – “Following” and “For You”.

TikTok followers

The “For You” category shows you random content from TikTok.

The “Following” category shows you live videos from people you follow. That’s the one you need, so select it.

TikTok following

Follow anyone from this list, and you’ll see their live videos the next time you go to “Following”.

This section contains only live videos, nothing else.

What’s more, to see a LIVE video in the Following section, tap on the profile picture of those you follow.

Conclusion

Live videos are a great way to interact with fellow TikTokers and see what your favorite TikTok video creator has been up to.

You’ll need to follow creators on social media to see when they’re going live.

In the Following section, you see the most recent TikTok lives or live stream from people you follow.

Using the search function, you can find other Live videos posted by random TikTokers.

Search specific keywords to look for category-based live TikTok videos.

… and that’s the lesson for today, my friends!

FAQ

Can you watch past live videos on TikTok?

No, you can’t.

Once a live video finishes, you can’t watch it anymore. If followers recorded it for you from their TikTok account, you could watch it.

But the app doesn’t save a live video for you to watch later.

The creator posts live videos that disappear after the live ends.

It doesn’t transform into a normal TikTok video you can rewatch either.

Unforeseen errors, bugs, and other problems make their use of social media problematic. These things will be discussed amply in the guides on Whizcase.
