How Much Is 1 Coin on TikTok?

Are you thinking about buying TikTok coins, and are you curious about their worth? Or did you read about TikTok coins online and have no idea what they are?

Currently, 1 TikTok coin should be worth approximately 1.29-1.3 cents. So, 1000 coins should be worth $12.9-$13.

Don’t worry! This article will explain what TikTok coins are, how much they’re worth, and what you can do with them.

Keep reading to learn more about TikTok coins!

What Are TikTok Coins?

In short, TikTok coins are a digital currency used on TikTok to buy various benefits. Here’s how you can use TikTok coins:

  1. Send gifts on TikTok lives. Buying gifts and offering them during LIVEs to TikTok creators means you’re tipping them. The creator gets 50% off the gift’s coin value, and they can convert those coins to real currency
  2. Send gifts in the comment section. You can also send gifts in a creator’s comment section instead of going to their live videos. These gifts work the same as Live gifts
  3. Buy a TikTok Promotion. These promotions are useful if you want to boost a TikTok video for a few days. The video will be promoted to a certain audience to get more engagement.

TikTok coins have no other uses aside from what I’ve explained above. As a regular user, you also can’t convert coins to money.

You can only buy gifts with them, which you then send to other creators. The gifts are converted into diamonds worth a certain amount of coins.

And those diamonds can then be converted into real currency by content creators on TikTok.

How Much Are TikTok Coins Worth?

The thing with TikTok coins is that they don’t have a fixed value. Their value fluctuates based on the fluctuation of real currency.

Currently, 1 TikTok coin should be worth approximately 1.29-1.3 cents. So, 1000 coins should be worth $12.9-$13.

There’s a catch, though. Whenever you buy Gifts for content creators on TikTok, they’ll receive 50% of the total coin value of the Gift in Diamonds.

For instance:

  1. You buy a Gift worth 1000 coins
  2. The content creator receives 500 Diamonds

So, for a gift worth $50, the content creator receives only $25. And then, when they want to convert the Diamonds into real money, another 50% fee is applied.

From a $50 Gift, the content creator makes $12.5.

You should have your credit card saved in your Google Play account already. If that’s so, just tap “1-tap buy,” and the transaction will go through automatically.

If not, you’ll need to manually enter the card information and confirm the transaction with your banking app.

Once you do that, you should have the coins in your TikTok account in a few seconds!

In short, 1 TikTok coin is worth 1.29-1.30 cents, depending on the fluctuation of real-world currencies.

If you buy TikTok coins, you can do this from the TikTok settings in the “Balance” option. Select “Recharge” and go through the on-screen instructions.

Can you refund TikTok coins?

Unfortunately, TikTok coins are non-refundable. You can’t get your money back for any bought TikTok coins.

You either use them to buy gifts for other content creators or leave them unused.

You also can’t transfer them to other people unless you buy gifts for them. And gifts are worth only 50% of the coin value in diamonds.

Fortunately, TikTok coins never expire so you can keep them in your account indefinitely.

I suppose there’s a way to recoup some of your losses if you bought TikTok coins by mistake.

Buy gifts and send them to one of your friends on TikTok, a content creator. They can convert the diamonds into coins and then withdraw them into real currency.

But they can withdraw only a fraction of what you paid for the coins so that you won’t recoup all your investment.

When can I withdraw coins from TikTok?

TikTok only allows you to withdraw coins from the platform when you reach a minimum amount of $100.

Remember that TikTok gets 50% of what you withdraw, so even if you have $100 in your account, you’ll only get $50 after the transaction.

For many content creators who’ve just begun posting videos, it’ll take a long while before they make $100 in coins.

After that initial payout of $100, the next payout should be much easier to achieve.

If your follower engagement is big enough that you receive gifts worth $100, it means you’re on an ascending trend, and you’re not stopping anytime soon!
