How to Get WhatsApp Verification Code by Email?

WhatsApp can’t send you the verification code on your email. It’s impossible, and I’m afraid there’s nothing you can do to change that.

That’s because WhatsApp ONLY works based on a phone number to register your account. You can’t even create a WhatsApp account without a phone number.

But, why are you trying to receive your verification code via email? Is your phone not working and you can’t read the verification code?

Because in that case, there are several solutions you can try, and I’ll list the below. Keep reading 😀

Place the SIM Card Into Another Phone

If the reason you can’t get the verification code on your phone is that the phone is broken, then how about removing its SIM card and placing it into another phone?

That way, you can not only receive the verification code but complete the account verification and finish the WhatsApp account creation procedure.

You can take your friend’s phone to finish the account creation or you might have an unused phone around the house.

Alternatively, just buy another phone if your current one is broken. It’s unlikely you can deal with day-to-day tasks without a phone, either way.

Not Receiving the Verification Code?

If you’re not receiving the verification code on your phone number, then I recommend doing the following:

  • Restart your phone
  • Reinstall WhatsApp
  • Switch between Wi-Fi and Mobile Data
  • Wait some more time until the code reaches your phone
  • Resend it multiple times until you get it

You’re not the only person with this issue. In fact, WhatsApp kind of renowned for its SMS verification code problems.

Fortunately, a few quick fixes should do it. Try the solutions I mentioned above and the verification code should arrive safely.

Why Can’t I Receive the Code in My Email?

WhatsApp doesn’t work with email. It never did and it never will, most likely. That’s because the core of their service relies on a mobile phone number.

That’s how you create the account and that’s how people find you on the app. It’s the only identification method on WhatsApp.

It wouldn’t make sense to be able to receive a verification code via email when the app NEEDS your phone number to create the account and function properly.

In the end, I can’t help you with this issue because it’s literally impossible to circumvent it. If you have other questions or if there’s anything else I can help you with, please leave a comment below!
